The UtilitEE project was presented at “The Next Day for Energy Efficiency” International Workshop hosted by the ELTRUN E-business research center of the Athens University of Economics and Business on November 7th 2018. Among the participants were representatives of ten energy efficiency research & innovation projects funded by the EU Horizon 2020 funding scheme. The aim of the workshop was to bring together energy-related H2020 projects, industrial interested parties and policy-makers in a common discussion pertinent to the future of energy efficiency. In particular, during the event the below aspects were discussed and analysed:
the required digital technology (IoT, AI) to support the development of innovative services in the energy efficiency area of the built environment
the tools to educate and engage the end users towards their behavioral change with regards to energy efficiency
the role of utilities and the required innovative services of utilities in a business disruptive world full of challenges and opportunities
